a'Kihoro SPIRITUAL CREATIONS |
|
Who is a'Kihoro? |
|
Based in Baltimore and established in 1995, a'Kihoro
SPIRITUAL CREATIONS is a
Christian ministry committed to community, faith-based
organizations, and individuals seeking quality service
to enhance their image. |
|
God's Plentiful Gifts… |
|
The term a’kihoro is derived from the
African language, Kiswahili word
a-kiroho, and translates to mean spiritual.
Christian doctrine, faith and spirituality is the foundation of this Ministry.
God gives all
of us special talents or “gifts” (Matt. 25:14-30),
which when used for His glory become greater than we
ever imagined. When by faith we multiply these talents
and use the gifts to uplift and glorify His name, the
Lord will bless us in even greater abundance. It is this
“gift” from God that has become a’Kihoro SPIRITUAL
CREATIONS. |

Readings, topics focusing on specific poems from
Amani na Mapenzi: Love & Peace,
and how they impact daily life is the goal of this ministry. We will
gather in small groups at venues such as
homes, meeting facilities, weekend getaways, and yes the church.
Poetry is used as tool to begin discussions on mental and physical
abuse, African-American issues, biblical women, or to share individual thoughts.
This ministry will offer participants the
opportunity to turn these discussions into viable written material such
as articles, essays, poetry and books.
I (we) pray that faithful followers of Christ will step forward in faith
to study
what the Bible says about life issues.
Seminars are also being developed to
assist new authors with publishing their work.

is supposed to do." SB

Announcing... |
|
|
|
Amani na Mapenzi: Love & Peace,
my first book speaks in a Spiritual voice to young adults, African
Americans, abused women, and just plain folks. It is a
collection of poems with a touch of "Mother Wit" that draw
upon life, Agapé love, personal love and emotion--at times with a sense of
humor--from adolescence to today.
